Cleanrooms

Cleanrooms are designed and operated to provide cleanliness, control, and/or isolation of processes. They are typically used in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and nanotechnology industries.

Contamination control and access restriction are ways to protect products or processes in a cleanroom environment.

Cleanroom classifications are by cleanliness level and represent the level of measured contamination. The classifications are:
