The preferred method of floor preparation within Cleanrooms and Server Rooms is to utilize access flooring over
the existing building sub-floor. This provides an ideal source of wire management for cables, plugs and power
connections throughout the computer room. Access floors of adequate height may also be used as a plenum for
conditioned air distribution. The access flooring creates flexibility for subsequent layout changes or expansion.
